On Continually Tasting the Sweetness of Dhikr

Answered by Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz (may Allah protect him and benefit us by him)

When we begin reciting a certain dhikr we taste the sweetness of the dhikr, but this gradually disappears. How do we retain this?

On the Benefits of ‘Dala’il al-Khayrat’

Answered by Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz (may Allah protect him and benefit us by him)

What are the benefits of reciting ‘Dala’il al-Khayrat’?

The book contains many prayers upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ composed by some of the knowers of Allah. Imam al-Jazuli, who compiled it, was himself a knower of Allah. The fact that it is loved by the elite as well as ordinary people is a sign that it has been accepted by Allah. Many of those who read it obtain a stronger connection to the Prophet ﷺ and some of the veils between them and Allah and His Messenger ﷺ are removed. Reciting it makes it easier to travel the path, removes obstacles and increases one’s love and faith. Generally speaking, anyone who bestows abundant prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ with truthfulness will be guided to his or her shaykh.
