On Wearing Prayer Beads around the Neck

Is it acceptable to wear a subhah (prayer beads) around my neck?

It is preferable not to do so, particularly in gatherings of remembrance and around other people. There is no harm in wearing it in private when reciting the Qur’an or in prayer.

Is praying for others obligatory or recommended?

Praying (making dua) for others is in essence obligatory, but doing it in abundance is an expression of a believer’s excellence (ihsan). The more he does it, the more he will be elevated by Allah.
