In this salat, Sayyidi Habib Umar bin Hafiz teaches us to ask Allah for the same gifts that He bestowed upon His Beloved ﷺ . These are the gifts that Allah mentions in Surat al-Inshirah: the expansion of his heart, the removal of his burden and the raising of his station.
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ على سَيِّدِنا مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذي شَرَحْتَ لَهُ صَدْرَهُ صَلاةً تَشْرَحُ بِهَا صُدُورَنا و على آلِهِ و صَحْبِهِ وسَلِّمْ
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ على سَيِّدِنا مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذي وَضَعْتَ عَنْهُ وِزْرَهُ صَلاةً تَضَعُ بِهَا عَنَّا أَوْزَارَنا و على آلِهِ و صَحْبِهِ و سَلِّمْ
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ على سَيِّدِنا مُحَمَّدٍ الَّذي رَفَعْتَ لَهُ ذِكْرَهُ صَلاةً تَرْفَعُ بِها ذِكْرَنا و على آلِهِ و صَحْبِهِ و سَلِّمْ
O Allah, bestow Your prayers and peace upon our Master Muhammad, whose heart You blessed with expansion and upon his Family and Companions, and through this bless our hearts with expansion.
O Allah, bestow Your prayers and peace upon our Master Muhammad, whose burden You removed and upon his Family and Companions, and through this remove our burdens.
O Allah, bestow Your prayers and peace upon our Master Muhammad, whose station You raised and upon his Family and Companions, and through this raise our station.
