Habib Abdullah bin Husayn bin Tahir (may Allah have mercy on him and benefit us by him) wrote the following piece of advice to help people deal with the oppression and turmoil that was taking place in Hadramawt at the time. His advice remains relevant to the times in which we are living.

Salat of Habib Muhammad bin Aydarus al-Habashi

This salat was composed by Habib Muhammad bin Aydarus al-Habashi, may Allah have mercy upon him. Habib Muhammad was born in al-Hawtah, Hadramawt, but he later moved to Indonesia and died in Surabaya in 1337 (1919 CE). He was one of the closest students of Habib Ali al-Habashi, and he is responsible for compiling Habib Ali’s salawat in the book, Majma` al-Lata’if al-`Arshiyah. Attaining Allah’s Love

Habib Ahmad bin Abu Bakr bin Sumayt, the father of Habib Umar bin Sumayt (may Allah have mercy on them and sanctify their secret) discusses the means of attaining Allah’s love. 

It is inconceivable that Allah’s love be in any way similar to human love, which may be defined as tenderness in the heart. Some scholars say Allah’s love is expressed in His actions such as showing His favour and bounty to His slave, or showing His slave special care by protecting him and drawing him close. The Loss of Habib Hamid Ba ‘Alawi

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of al-Mansib, Habib Hamid bin Muhammad Hamid Ba ‘Alawi. He was one of the pillars of Tarim and imam of Tarim’s greatest mosque, Masjid Ba ‘Alawi. He passed away before Fajr on Saturday, 19th Shawwal 1435/ 16th August 2014 at the age of 71. In his youth he studied under his father and other great imams, among them Habib `Alawi bin Shihab and his son Habib Muhammad and Habib Salim bin Hafiz. Salat and Istighfar of Habib Ahmad bin Muhsin al-Haddar

Advice from Habib Ahmad Mashhur al-Haddad (may Allah have mercy upon him and benefit us by him).

If someone combines between bestowing prayers upon the Prophet ﷺ (salawat) and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) they will be guaranteed safety.
