The following prayer upon the Prophet ﷺ was composed by Imam al-Haddad
O Allah, bestow prayers upon our Master Muhammad, on whose tongue we have been commanded to maintain the boundaries, to honour our trusts, to be content with what we possess and to patiently bear any losses we suffer.

Please explain the statement of Imam al-Haddad: “We will not leave them, even if they leave us.”
The Shuyukh honour their covenants with those who are attached to them even if those people do not treat them well. As far as they are able, they continue to give good advice to them, pray for them and intercede on their behalf with Allah.
We praise Allah and at the same time express our sadness at the departure of one of the great men of the Ummah, a khalifah of the Chosen One ﷺ, one of the oceans of the Noble Qur’an, the one we love for Allah’s sake, the noble Shaykh Shukri bin Ahmad al-Luhafi. You must show good character to all people. Through good character you may attain the stations of the people of immense truthfulness (al-siddiqun) and ascend to the highest levels of certainty. Be the most gentle and forbearing of people. Pardon those who wrong you and give to those who refuse to give you anything.
